Not his best, but very close

Peter Gabriel is arguably at his most commercial here, and yet despite this it's still a wonderful album. The whole thing is virtually flawless, with the exception of the awful "Sledgehammer." I don't know what he was thinking when he did that one, but I'm glad there's been nothing else like it. "In Your Eyes" is one of his most soulful and beautiful tracks. The crashing beats of "Red Rain" and the inspiring melodies of "Don't Give Up" show Peter Gabriel's mastery of so many various sounds. I never tire of hearing this album, as long as I remember to skip track two.
