This album is phenomenal
Review Score:

(10/10)
As with Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints (Paul Simon), many fans of So felt let down by the lack of diversion from a successful formula, and thus were somewhat disappointed with Us. Although there are parallels between So and Us, Us is a far more personal record, and we see the magic of "In Your Eyes" evolve into the pain of losing love. This is one of my top 5 favorite albums, and I think you'll understand why when you hear Pete sing in "Love to be Loved"
This old familiar craving,
I've been here before, this way of behaving,
Don't know what the hell I'm saving anymore,
Let it pass, let it go, let it leave,
From the deepest place I grieve,
This time I believe,
And I let go, And I let go,
I can't let go of it,
Though it takes all the strentgh in me,
And all the world can see,
I'm losing such a central part of me...
