After listening to the whole album, I found out that it is a GREAT album from start to finish. Most Phil Collins fans immediately mention Face Value and No Jacket Required when they think of the famous singer. I agree that No Jacket Required is probably his best album, and Face Value is also great, but ...But Seriously is up there with them.
Anybody who is familiar with Phil Collins will immediately recognize the four huge hits that are included on ...But Seriously. These four hits are: "Do You Remember?," "Something Happened On The Way To Heaven," "I Wish It Would Rain Down," and "Another Day In Paradise." Most prospective buyers are probably most interested in these four hits, but if they make the purchase, they will find out that they've gotten even more for their money's worth.
The reason I say this is because every single song is worth listening to over and over again. It baffles me how "All of My Life" and "Find A Way to My Heart" weren't big hits. Without a doubt, both of those songs could have been radio superstars had they been released as singles.
Not only is Phil Collins one of the best singers of all time, but he is also a great drummer. Every song on ...But Seriously that has drumming in it, is Phil Collins's work. Many of the songs also feature catchy music solos, especially the ones in the song "Colours."
If you're looking for a great Phil Collins album, ...But Seriously would be a great one to purchase. It's one of the classic titles from the late 80's.
