Best album in a long time!

When this album was first released i was pleasantly surprised after a disappointing effort on "Both Sides". It's easy to criticise Phil as he has been so overplayed and, carried the weight of his solo career and Genesis on his back somewhat. But, if he'd have dissappeared into obscurity years ago we'd have all been saying..."whatever happened to that great drummer who sang backing vox from genesis? Boy, he could have something"! Everybody clings onto 1 or 2 great moments and then want it to last forever. 'Dance' has the classic Collins pop standards - this time with a little more flare and attention. I really like his Beatle-esqe/Byrds approach on 'It's in your eyes' and 'Love Police' which he introduced a little on his last genesis album. 'Lorenzo' is a beautiful percussive song reminiscent of his earlier instrumental pieces. Phil moves us around with his playfulness and then his seriousness throughout the CD. I really think we're yet to hear his best work. A very versatile and inventive man.
