(10/10)Genesis' drummer/lead vocalist Phil Collins scored a few hits from his debut album. IN THE AIR TONIGHT and I MISSED AGAIN. The latter does not appear on 1998's HITS. IN THE AIR TONIGHT would be recorded live for 1990's SERIOUS HITS LIVE. The album title would become a subsidiary of Atlantic Records. Other highlights from this album include a cover of the Lennon-McCartney song TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS,a guest appearance by Eric Clapton,a good friend of PC's,a Genesis composition(written by Collins and his bandmates Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks) and the Ray Parker Jr. style of THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. The FACE VALUE of this album is anyone's choice. By the way,PC sings a few bars of OVER THE RAINBOW following the conclusion of TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS.
