One of the best greatest hits CDs I've ever owned

Phil Collins is one of my all-time favorite musicians of all time. Only Peter Gabriel in my opinion rivals Phil. This fantastic collection of his music from 1981-1998 is what I said 'FANTASTIC!'. It's a great collection of most of Phils biggest hits from the ominous thundering drums of the angry bad blood vibe of 'In The Air Tonight' to the Prince 1999-esque 'Sussudio' to the ever so timeless Another Day In Paradise(One of my childhood favorites). This CD even has cuts from his more obscure albums like 1993 incredibly underrated Both Sides and 1996s Dance Into The Light also vastly underrated. This CD could've included Do You Remember, I Missed Again & Father To Son and it could've included more songs from the Both Sides and Dance Into The Light albums and even some more new songs and made this collection a double album but the exclusions of these songs is made up for by the inclusions of his hit songs from soundtracks that are long out of print. Examples of these are the upbeat Two Hearts, Easy Lover & the intimate and powerful Against All Odds which is one of Phils most beautiful ballads to date. This CD also has a new song called True Colors. True Colors was originally done by Cindi Lauper in 1986 which was a hit. While I like the original Phil Collins improves it with his own spin to it by even adding some Celtic Uillian pipes for an even better suprise. I hope Phil adds some more worldly sounds in his music just like Peter Gabriel does. Dance Into The Light was a great first step in my opinion. Even then Phil will always remain one of my favorites. I personally think this CD was very well put together and is a worthy collection for the fanbase. Even if it excludes some of Phils hits this CD has songs from 80s soundtracks that have been long out of print. This CD is definately a must. This CD will definately keep me satisfied at least while we all wait for the eagerly anticipated TESTIFY that is due later this year.
