I swear, so many of these songs made SOOOOOOOOOOOO much more sense when they were on the "serious hits...Live!" CD back in 1990!; such as "You Can't Hurry Love" and the way it was mixed with "Two Hearts" and then shortly after that came "Easy Lover". All three of those songs were SO energetic and lifelike recorded in front of an audience. On this CD they just sound faded and watered down (hence the title of this review). If this CD was worth releasing to the public, I can understand keeping the ESSENTIAL Collins' work like "In The Air Tonight", "Another Day In Paradise", "Take Me Home", etc. even though ALL three of THOSE were MUCH better on SHL! than in the studio, 'cause some people just can't get passed the crowd-noises, but why on earth are the studio versions of the "other" three on here when songs like "Everyday" from BOTH SIDES and, as one reviewer pointed out, "Do You Remember?" were NOT on here??? (not to mention his earlier track from 1982 "I Don't Care Anymore" and maybe some lesser-liked tunes like "Long Long Way To Go" and "I Missed Again") This CD is a waste of natural resources and a deceipt to the public. Phil Collins' singing voice is one of a kind and his songwriting is okay and awesome on occasion. This CD can't help but showcase his incredible singing voice, since it IS Phil Collins', but the songwriting here is only mediocre at best and that's if you can get passed the unecessary filler. And why on Earth does this CD have a remake of a Cyndi Lauper (??) song??? It reminds me too much of his recent Disney no-brainers! Ok, I'm done here. Agree with me or don't, but I think this review says A LOT!!
