Meets my standards. What are yours?

AMG names `No Jacket Required' as Phil Collins' tour-de-force. Boy, is that an understatement. `Only You Know And I Know,' `I Don't Want To Know,' and `Don't Anybody Stay Together Anymore' are funky and pounding dance tempo numbers: big production, big brass section and big synth-drumming push these composition into Pop-R&B heaven. Turn it up, jump around the living room and thrash some air-guitar power chords (OK, close the drapes first). The synthesizer work on `Long Way To Go' is majestic. `Inside Out' is one of the most soulful Motown songs not to come from Motown. The authentic string arrangement opening `We Said Hello Goodbye' adds a classical beauty to a Pop ballad. My favorite Pop music has no "BIG" message, no artsie-fartsie progressive foolishness, and no "heart on my sleeve" lyrical confessions. I don't want to be intellectualized - just inspired by pounding rhythms, soaring vocal harmonies and sing-along melodies. `No Jacket Required' meets my standards. What are yours?
