Pink Floyd

A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Reality Check

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (6/10)
For those of you who think it ain't Pink without Roger, get over it. Genesis was still a band after Peter Gabriel left and they managed to continue to make some fine music without him. Same here. If you want "old" Pink there's plenty of recordings out there that will stand the test of time. And this "new" Pink is flawed but a great step forward. The production is incredible. "On the turning away" is as good a song as there is and Gilmore's guitar playing is emotional and stinging. Remember, it's all about the songs and there are at least 4 on this cd that are as good as anything they ever recorded. While not as complete as "Division Bell" this is a fine album to behold.
