Gilmore Pulls Off a Great Album, Sans Waters

I've enjoyed this album over and over for several years now, and while DSOTM is of course the benchmark I find myself favoring this one more.

I come away each time with the vague musical impression that I've watched a very good movie; at times, the tracks sound like songs from a soundtrack but not in a bad way.

Imagine a disc where, if you relax and just listen, forms images within your mind. Here it is, and as I said just slightly moreso than DSOTM (but don't kill me; I still think DSOTM is the most creative of thier albums).

"Momentary Lapse of Reason" brings me to mind of a passionate romance between a boy and a girl riding motorcycles along the California coast. "Dogs of War" shifts between Wall Street predators and thier true forms.
