Pink Floyd

A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

It's good but...

This is a good album, but it's not Pink Floyd, it's David Gilmour. This is a very good solo album, not so much a Pink Floyd album with the lack of presence in the writing process by Mason and Wright. I know they were never that big a writing force to begin with, but still, they are in the band. It has some noises that is typical Pink Floyd and some of the songs are familiar Pink Floyd as well. Sorrow is the best song on here and is most typically Pink Floyd. The beginning guitar sounds so sinister and evil. Learning To Fly is a great song and made a great video. Dopgs Of War is deep and sarcastic social commentary. One Slip is good, I like the effects in the beginning and On The Turning Away is a great song, enjoyable melody. Then it kind of falls off until Sorrow, but Sorrow picks it up. The instrumentals are good, solid reminders of classic Pink Floyd. All in all, good album.
