pink floyd try to be mysterioso!!
Review Score:

(2/10)
this is my least favorite PINK FLOYD album. they tried too
hard to be mysterioso and wierd and FLOYD-ian...and they failed
miserably. to ensure it was a PF album, they designed the
WIERD cover, the complicated and mysterioso album title and
added lots of sound effects and speech fragments, for you can't
really have a FLOYD album without them! And the dangerous
song titles, like DOGS OF WAR! AAH! I'M SCARED! The songs them-
selves really don't grab me, even tho' DAVE GILMOUR is in good
vocal form and still shines on guitar. The best song here is
ONE SLIP! I LIKE THAT SONG! I really don't remember how the se-
cond half sounds; I don't listen to this album enough! I liked
DAVE GILMOUR's solo albums better than this!
WUUFFF!! Some other observations: I think it's funny
how they inserted the picture of RICK WRIGHT inside, especially
since his photo didn't appear on the album originally! Also, did
you notice how downbeat and depressing the two post-WATERS PINK
FLOYD albums have been? WATERS was a great lyricist and brought
some wit and humour to PINK FLOYD, two things that are absent
on MOMENTARY and THE DIVISION BELL! Why are they so depressed?
