Can the real Pink Floyd please stand up?

After hearing Echoes there's little doubt they forgot what this song is. Completely desfigured, it was transformed from a contemporary masterpiece to nothing, all the subtleties are gone, left just a dumb pasteurized sound. The arousing finale simply cut, all the dissonant chords and less obvious melodies are missing, there's nothing in this which resembles the original. Even with his 23 minutes, Echoes was the best song of Pink Floyd. I don't know what it is, a 16-minute unrecognizable pop-prog, if anything. The rest of the cd gets better, interestingly enough when the newer songs couples better with this producing style.
