This album is really different than other pink floyd's albums. More than 20 years separate this album and the Pink floyd's beginning. The division bell is a really calm album with a really smooth ambiance. "Don't listen to this album doing something else. You have to let the whole melody take place in your mind". Every instruments in this album as a very harmonic emotional presence. Note that the emotional part is not as powerful than Dark side of the moon or animals for example, the division bell is played with in a spirit of an ending legacy: the feeling of letting something really important behind.

" This album take place in your mind when you start to feel that there's much behind than ahead. Where a light summer wind feel through your hair and tells you you've done well"

Lyrics of the division bell are really easy and light compared to waters his reign.
"But I think that the division bell was build this way, to satisfied and old ear that had enough to hear Vinyl Static sound, by serving a great sound quality, from what pink floyd members were able to do mixed with a wave of new age. To say that pink floyd fans who listened pink floyd in the 70's are now turning 50 years old."

I've listened to all pink floyd album and I appreciate this one in particular 'cause there's nothing like waters and barrett twisted stuff in it "The wall, Dark side of the moon"

I'd like to put a particular attention on the last album's song and maybe the last studio song from pink floyd: High Hopes...
"That's the song. A song where you really feel that we're getting old day after day and there's no way to escape. Trough a beautiful ending guitar solo you end the album between reality and dream thinking that you're happy of what you accomplish in your life. With very a nostalgic perspective, you hope there's still something ahead " high hopes". That's the new age part

Top 5 best album pink floyd

1- Dark side of the moon
2- Animals
3- The division bell
4- The Wall
5- Meddle

But this album is a very 5 ... Relaxing, delicate, musical..
This is the one "I" prefer to listen
