WELCOME TO THE MACHINE

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (4/10)
This album is not worse than "Momentary Lapse Of Reason" but it still isn't good.
It's a really overproduced album with way too much synthesizer-atmospheric sounds and not the greatness of playing you know from the other Pink Floyd albums.
Though there are some nice melodies, most of the songs have parts that remind me on older Pink Floyd songs.
For example "Cluster One" sounds like an early 90's version of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and beginning of "What do you want from me" sounds like "Take A Cigar"
When "A Great Day For Freedom" wouldn't sound that artificial, I would really like it, cause it has a really great melody.
"Wearing The Inside Out" is a radio-song with long saxophone solo, that isn't played by one of the Floyd members, not worth listening to it.
The only song that adds something to the Pink Floyd repertoire here is "High Hopes", that doesn't sound like any other Floyd song and is somehow dramatic and desparing.

But when you look at the whole CD, it's just a try to wake the old Pink Floyd times again, and also a try to make some more money ! SO, WELCOME TO THE MACHINE, PINK FLOYD !!!
