Pink Floyd used to be Sid Barrett's band, and he wrote 9 of 11 on Piper by himself, and the two others with the rest of the band. What you think of the album depends on what you think of psychedelic music. "Astronomy Domine", "Pow R Hoc H", and "Interstellar Overdrive", are dark complicated songs that bear repeated listenings. "Lucifer Sam", "Matilda Mother", "Flaming", "Take Up Thy Steth", "The Gnome", "Chapter 24", "Scarecrow", and "Bike" are simpler songs with more childish lyrics -- they have more of a novelty value.
