Many of the one-star reviews that I have read on Pink Floyd's music justify giving it one star because it is "hippie music." But if a review like this has been written about this album, or any ratings that are below four stars--may God have mercy on your soul.

This album is definitely one of my all time favorites, and I just cannot see how anyone can dislike it. Every song is perfect, and although not especially catchy, they still remain in your head because of the wonderful lyrics and musicianship, which tend to tug on a couple hearstrings as well. After you listen to it the first time, you'll want to listen to it over and over again. (The first time I heard this album, I was late to work so I could finish listening to it.)

Shine on You Crazy Diamond: Probably my favorite Pink Floyd Song, (esp. Pt one) or at least in the top five.

Welcome to the Machine: Although there isn't any cool rhythms or melodies, it is still, for some reason, a great song. Maybe because of the stunning synthesizer work and meaningful lyrics, even though there seems to be some dispute on what they mean.

Have a Cigar: Perhaps my least favorite on the album, but still one of Floyd's best songs. Neat lyrics, too.

Wish You Were Here: Another Pink Floyd song that is in my top five. Just a great song that anyone will love immediately.
