This collection sums up their best years (I've seen these guys on VH1, it's pretty safe to assume the best years are gone).
As I listen to these songs, I think it's funny how underrated C.C. Deville was. To replace C.C. Poison tried two "great" guitar players: Richie Kotzen (now with Mr. Big) and then Blues Saraceno (not sure where he is now) both acclaimed for their stand alone solo guitar work, but with Poison they failed to produce any good hits and ultimately lead to the dimise of the band in the 90's.
To their credit, hair bands were "out", but still if you listen to their tracks:
7. Stand (Kotzen) 17. Sexual Thing (Blues) 18 Lay Your Body Down (Blues)
You'll notice they all lack the energy of C.C. and seem kind of dull, C.C.'s rhythm (and lead) guitar playing didn't leave as many gaps and worked so much better with this band.
I really dislike all the tecnical percise guitar gurus of the 80's, and I'm glad they are meeting their demise: C.C.'s guitar work with poison has it's place in rock history.
