In this cd, there are many different types of songs. Each song describing a different part of their lives, and what they were going through. There are different styles of music in these songs. Although Poison's main purpose was to have fun and enjoy the music, they also took their career very seriously. They were the hardest working band to ever come out; in fact, they were the sole promoters to their music in L.A. in their beginnings in 1984. I find their music, and this CD, to be the best one yet. Bret Michaels, the lead singer, wrote about what they were going through with each song, which is included in this CD. He wanted people to know, that along with the fun that comes with stardom, there are also hard and bad times. Cry Tough was the song that kept them going, Bret said. This song points out that no matter what you go through, you must keep working to make what you picture, your goals and dreams, a reality. I find this CD to be wonderfully done. Their lyrics, even though some are risque, are very meaningful and uplifting. If you like good, light-hearted, fun rock, you'll really love this CD. I recommend it fully.
