I Never Liked This Band, however.....

.....It's wonderful to see an artist, or group of artists, call it quits at their peak. I never liked this band...much. De Doo Doo Doo, well..it's [bad]! And the 1st time I heard them, they sounded like a cross between The Clash and a testosterone filled Go Go's. However with Synch, I said to myself, "self, take a listen to this". For years I had been saying that Summers was an awesome ax man, he was just with the wrong band (sort of like Hendrix...if he would have had a decent band, and kept his mouth closed...the man could NOT sing). The weakest track is Every Breath You Take. It's tolerable, but the rest of the album is SPECTACULAR!! Great guitar work by Summers on King of Pain, as well as II. I also met a very special lady at the same time this album was released, so I have a very personal reason for loving this album. I wonder what ever happened to her. Anyways, this is The Police at their peak, at their most turbulent, and their most artistic. Perhaps someday I'll get another Police album and check them out a bit more (If I can get past De Doo Doo Dah).
