Italy's Answer To Blind Guardian And Beyond!
Review Score:

(10/10)
This CD blew me away. Take Dream Evil and Blind Guardian, and add an orchestra, along with some of the most technical drumming and guitars that I've ever heard, a Tolkien-like storyline, killer artwork throughout, and you've got Rhapsody. The Narration complaint on here is beyond me? These guy's are from Italy, so the narrator does have a bit of an Itallian accent showing through. But look at what Blind Guardian did with Nightfall In Middle-Earth? There's narration through the entire CD! That, if anything, was the one flaw I can think of on that release, and I love Blind Guardian. I'll take the maybe, 4 minutes of narration on this one track, instead of through a whole album any day of the week. This is my 1st intro to Rhapsody, and I would highly suggest that you start from the beginning as far as the storyline goes; it really helps, because these guys don't just write a little, goofy story tag to set up the album, they write an epic saga, which needs to be read almost like a short story. I can't imagine what these guys will churn out next, but if you like the bands I mentioned above (Hammerfall also), and wondered what they'd sound like with atmospheric orchestration, that takes nothing away from the heaviness? Then believe me when I tell you the $14 and change is well worth it for these guys! Enjoy this one over and over! Cheers from Scraggy's Tomb. ***** 5 STAR RATING!
