Great follow-up to the EP, meets expectations.

Despite what some may say, I think this album is the most distinct in their history. Fabio sings in ways he didn't in previous albums, adding surprise while still maintaining the unique Rhapsody sound. The album opens with some great voice acting which sets up the storyline, and follows with another version of Unholy Warcry which was featured on the Dark Secret EP. This version is just as good, and it's nice to compare them. From there, the album combines new songs and two "old" ones from the EP, one left unchanged and one now sung in Italian. Both versions are great. I think what sets Symphony of Enchanted Lands II apart from their previous work is that the music is more epic, the vocals are improved, and of course, the new voice acting which adds to the fantasy flavor. This is power metal done right, not overly cliche; Rhapsody proves with this album that they are at the top of the genre. Recommended to fans of the previous albums and anyone who loves fantasy and/or melodic metal with great clean vocals.
