WOW! To imagine someone could put together a CD like this. The person who said this CD sounded like a parody must have no idea what it takes to write a song using three chords let alone the songs that Luci Turilli writes. Dragons or no dragons, kudos to Luci for possibly setting himself up as the greatest metal guitar composer ever. Anyway, I'd rather listen to songs about dragons than songs about having a crush on the girl next door. That's what this type of music is about - epic, fantasy, imagination, bravery, etc. If your are looking for songs to sing in the shower, this is not the CD for you - try Hammerfall. If you want to be blown away by the musical talents of an individual and group who have taken medieval metal to another level, than don't wait another second. I only give this four stars because I think Luci is oftentimes more interested in the composition of the non-human instruments than in the human instrument - the vocalist. Fabio Leone tries valiantly to create vocal melodies overtop of the complex guitar lines. Sometimes he succeeds but more times than not, he winds up sounding repetitive and restricted. He's never truly permitted to wail away which is perhaps due to the nature of the songs - not his fault. Rhapsody is definitely a band that through a little more evolution to allow more vocal freedom would become an alltime great.
