This cd is amazing. Shock to my System, Ordinary Girl, Free and It's always something are my favorites. Rick's lyrics always killed me but even more so on this cd. How come he never get's the credit he deserves? It's very frustrating. I saw him in Long Island on 5/21/99 and he only played one song off Karma. I wish he would have more confidence in his new stuff to know his audience has matured with him and would appreciate the new mellow songs. It's always something and Ordinary Girl could make it as a commercial hit, but how do we as Rick fans get the radio stations to take notice and play this cd. WPLJ in NY which has always been a suppporter of Rick's has not helped this man get any airplay with this cd, and that is a disappointment.
Rick puts so much passion into Karma. I loved Tao because of its introspectiveness and New Age sound, but I like this cd even better because the music is stripped down and you can truly here the passion in Rick's voice and the lyrics very clearly.
Karma has a spiritual, passionate cd and the lyrics are dynamite. This is a must buy!!!
