Back in my arms, baby is where I start from at the pleasurable anticipation of a new CD cc of this smooth, so smooth you almost don't notice that you just been limbo dancing unselfconsciously and without malice.. This album melds R&B with the Tower of Power's N'awlins punchy velvet and lava- soap horns; to this add a dash and a bit o' reggae no? As in this at least equal best ever title track version of what be about to fall heavily on your dumb procrastinating head... de PRESSURE GONNA DROP ON YOU. Pressure,... pressure. . .pressure , ..etc. There is a mastery of musical dynamics and the timing is something you wish to Pan you'll get to hear forever in such lilting contrapunto{ aliases provided by harmonic friends like Bonnie R, Bonnie B,Linda R,Carly & James,Valerie C,Emmylou H, [W]Ry C. etc. maybe. This is a great recording that stands out front as much now as it did when released.Assisting on the neck hair raising, oh? deer. Vanilla grits with Lowell George et.al.Quite a large FEAT.
