It's hard to please everybody.....

(8/10)
Well, it's really amusing to see the childish reactions
on Victory. Back in the late eighties/ early nineties there
were really lousy reviews by critics against
R.W ; " They are sounding the same - all the time".
But the fans loved it. Well, would you not know -
when frontman Kasparek tries to develope
the sound and make a step towards musical progress
then the same kind of unruly bastards shout
" what is this - it isn't like it used to be ! "
What the f##k do you want from the guy !?
To the reader ; do not mind the previous reviews
they are not serious. Although it is true that
Victory is marking a notable change in songwriting
and production ( it isnt the same tight, deep
power sound that you heard on the albums
BHI, Masquerade or POS ) - but to say that it is
bad is simply not true. In that case you never
understood R.W in the first place.
Secondly ; those of you who complain ; have you
missed the songs " Timeriders" , " Into the
fire " or " The Hussar " ? They are strong and
solid up-tempo hymns in recognizable R.W-style -
no question about it.
The album is absolute worth attention , but
for those of you who expect the same
smoking aggression that dominated
POS or Masquerade - be prepared this is
a little more progressive.....
As for the Beatles-cover " Revolution " -
it's a interesting song in new cloting ,
but I'd prefer to hear it on a Beatles-tribute
not a R.W-CD. A good metal album , and
still able to kick the life out of any
competitors who race in the same track-
german classic power metal that is.....
