A Farewell To Kings

My first contact to Rush... and still my favorite!

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
Wow! What a killer! It has only six songs, but that's not a weakness on this record. Here, you got no filler : A Farewell to Kings, Xanadu, Closer to the Heart and Cignus X-1 are gifts from above! The two other songs are very good too.

Now, let's talk about the musicians:

Geddy Lee: his voice is still very high and clean, his bass work is groovy and very clear on the record (thanks to the production!)

Alex Lifeson: brilliant. His solos are a must to this album.

Neil Peart: He's talented and it shows. The groove at the beginning of Cignus X-1 is a good example.

This album is definitely a good place to start a Rush collection or just an opportunity to listen to exceptionnal music from an exceptionnal band
