A Farewell To Kings

Transitional,Next One Would Be Perfect

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (6/10)
A Farewell To Kings was Rush working towards being a more progressive band, however it's not as strong, focused,or consistent as Hemispheres, which ranks with the classical masterpieces. Farewell has a lot of wasted space that reflects growing pains. I understand how 'Cygnus X-1' is the beginning of 'Hemispheres',but it's their most annoying, screechy piece ever.I always found Xanadu a little boring also. Really, only the title cut,'Cinderella Man', and 'Closer To The Heart'validate this album, which in my opinion is the weakest of their early period, though a prelude to something great.
