"Wheels Of Steel", released in 1980 is Saxon's follow up to their self titled "Saxon" (1979) album. "Wheels Of Steel" is a much better album in every respect. The album absolutely rocks with standouts like "Motorcycle Man", "747 (Strangers In The Night)", "Wheels Of Steel", and "Freeway Mad". Saxon was actually part of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) movement that was taking place in England in the late 70's. Groups such as Def Leppard and Iron Maiden were also part of this resurgence of metal and went on to become known worldwide (whereby Saxon was popular in Europe and never really made it in America). If there's one Saxon cd you should buy, this is it. Highly recommended!
