Thinking Man's Thrash

The Boys from Brazil were well established in the thrash camp, but they weren't afraid to experiment. Even on their heaviest tracks, they blended in Brazilian tribal rhythms, as on the stark instrumental 'Kaiowas'. Songs with serious, informed lyrics about lands being torn asunder by war, greed, and corruption. 'Biotech is Godzilla' will appeal to those who like it dark and brutally fast, and the lyrics written by Dead Kennedy's Jello Biafra warn about the consequences of bio-technology in the wrong hands. Sepultura could arguably claim the cap of thinking man's thrash band.
