Pretty good cd
Review Score:

(6/10)
I would actually gives this cd 3 1/2 stars but amazon won't let me so lets get started with the review. First of all, don't think i'm one of those jaded music listeners that thinks since Max is gone that Sepultura is too because that's just not true. Derrick, the replacement for max, is good at the vocals but I prefer Max's evil barking growl. When Max was with Sepultura, he played guitar so their music always sounded "full". Derrick doesn't play guitar on this cd so the sound somtimes sounds a little "hollow". Now let's talk about the music. Igor is still one of the best drummers in metal, or any other music genre, today. Although he doesn't play as fast as older sepultura albums, he is still good(he's excellent with those pounding tribal beats). Andreas can play some very heavy riffs on this cd but i wish he would do more guitar solos and make them longer like he used to. Last but not least is the pounding bass of Paulo Jr. Since there is only one guitar on here this time, he has to play harder and better and it really shows. All in all, this cd is good and if i wasn't so hooked on older-thrash-metal-with-Max- Sepultura, i would give this album a higher rating. In short, if your a new fan and checking out this cd you will like it. If your an old fan of them, please be open minded and relize that, although no longer thrash, bands change their sound and Sepulutra have changed pretty good for the most part. Buy it and Enjoy!
