"Nation" is a multi-faceted study in aggression and intelligence. Sepultura have once again suceeded in re-inventing themselves, this time taking the slower, more deliberate style first heard in Roots even further than the band's last effort, Against. The trademark agression is still there, however, and songs like "Border Wars" and the anthemic "Sepulnation" recall the boiling fury of Chaos A.D. and Beneath the Remains.
Sepultura also draw on the skills of a variety of other musicians for Nation, Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta and Brooklyn dub-reggae legend Dr. Isreal among them. My favs are hearing good ol' Jello Biafra on "Politricks", and that by Finnish cello quartet Apocalyptica on "Voltio". Don't hesitate to pick this one up.
