Scanning through the reviews of this album a person would think that some music fans want Sepultura to don mullets and tight jeans again and continue "thrash"ing. ROOTS is a very dynamic, exciting album. This band has always impressed me with their respect for and understanding of world cultures and music. Thrash is a dead art form. Sepultura (and now Soulfly) are quite alive. They have remained relevant. A rare feat indeed. I tossed out my Metallica albums a long time ago. Sepultura is the only metal band left in my collection.
