This cd is very moving, full of emotion, and very soulful. It's not often you can say that about a metal band but with sonata arctica you can. Despite being power metal(a genre i love by the way) they are not chessy like most bands. well..sometimes the lyrics can be cheesy. For example, in the song "Last drop falls" the lyrics read, "walking in the cold night air without underwear" LMFAO, that is so funny. But other than that stupid lyric, this cd is very mature. This cd is very well rounded. It's got faster paced songs, mid paced songs, and some really awesome ballads. There is just something for everyone here. If you take the time to listen to it, your bound to find something you like. The whole cd just has the very mystical feel to it, when you listen to it, it takes you to another place. I have listened to this cd a billion times and it never gets old. They have other cds that are very good too. Check out this band and if you ever buy another cd again, make it this one.

While they are without a doubt power metal, they also tend to be progressive as well. Also, the vocals are no where near as opera like as other power metal bands. The singer has a huge accent, which makes the music even more interesting.
