Sonata Arctica

Songs Of Silence (Live)

Sonata And Japanese Audience

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
Really Good live tracks! The best live album I've ever heard. The vocals aren't so good compared to other Sonata albums but the choices are very good done. The drums, the guitars well succeeded. It is remarkable that audience is with them and it can be heard. It is fantastic to hear thousands of Japanese sing together "runaway, runaway" and this isn't even the best track. I recommend this if you just like heavy music in live.

Intro "The Beginning from "End of This Chapter"/ ...Of Silence" is an excellent start. "Weballergy" is a fast track and the chorus sounds diffrent than the original version in "Silence". It has little breaks between sentences. This track tells about men who try to find company in the Internet.

"Kingdom for a Heart", studio version is in Ecliptica, sounds here more tougher. The audience sings very very good, nothing beats the Japanese audience! This songs tells about love or Satan? The lyrics aren't so simpel to understand...anyway the keyboards are very very good.

"Sing in Silence" tells about a girl who has friends which are not actually her frinds. They just fake they are. So the girls plans to make suicide. This is a very sad song, very peaceful too. It is a relaxing live track after fast track "Weballergy" and "Kingdom for a Heart".

"False News Travel Fast" tells about the thing that are wrong easily reaches everything. Actually, this is a love song but with really execellent lyrics. There's good keyboards in this track. Mikko Härkin really is a perfect keyboardist.

"Last Drop Falls" is a heavy ballad which tells about a girl who doesn't should him date a man or not. He has so many boyfriends... Anyway Tony Kakko sings very loud!

"Respect the Wilderness" whose original version can found in Japanese version of Silence is a fast track and keyboards are very well done! This is like Nightwish's Sacrament of Wilderness. Very fast track track! There's good feeling!

"FullMoon" is a wonderful track, tells about a man who is sometimes wolf and sometimes a man and he's gotta a girl friend, so the troubles start...There's good audience...they sing very loudly in chorus "Runaway, runaway, runaway", amazing!

"The End of This Chapter" is tough and touching! The man has lost his girl frind and now he's planning a revenge. This has many good riffs, at least ten. Vocals are again very good!

"Replica" is a song that tells about the bad things that a war can make. A man doesn't have a family. This is a peaceful song, very touching. really good keyboards again!

"My Land" is a love song. A man wants to get his girl back. There's really good vocals! After that begins straightly "Black Sheep". They really don't waste time! This song tells about a bad man. Very fast track! Excellent live track!

"Wolf & Raven" is the last one. It was the first single of Silence. Very fast and angry track. Sounds even faster in this album.

"Sing in Silence" has live songs only from two studio albums but that doesn't bother. Sonata Arctica has many good tracks that are fantastic live tracks! In fact there could have been more!
I can't wait the next live album! It must be superb!
