With Sonata Arctica being one of my favorite metal bands, i have been looking for this cd since it came out..and i must say it's the perfect mix of their first two cds. if you liked ecliptica the most, then you'll still enjoy this cd. if you like silence the most, you'll enjoy this cd too.

While Silence is still my personal favorite (and of my all time favorites), this cd is their best, talent wise. It's their most complex cd, both in terms of music and lyrics. Vocally, it's also the best. Tony has the perfect voice: not too raw like on Ecliptica and also not too whiny like on Silence. He has also greatly improved with his keyboards too.

Although they are very much a power metal band, this cd could easily be called progressive, even more so than Silence.

Sonta Arctica have always been a rather catchy band, and i always thought anyone could get into them. however, this cd is not too catchy, it's their hardest one to get into. This is not a bad thing at all since that makes it a very deep musical experience. You will not get bored with this after jamming it 45 times and every time you listen, you'll hear something new.

All songs rock, but gravenimage is really good. It starts out slow, get's faster and heavier, then cools back down. amazing song, folks. Track one is a great opener, knocks you on your feet. Track one is special because it sounds like a labyrinth or stratovarius song.

Though Silence is my favorite, this is their best. all in all, i highly suggest this album. If you like power metal, you'll like it. if you like progressive, you'll like it. If you like your bands power AND progressive well...this cd is your heaven then. A MUST HAVE BUY! Stop reading this and click that buy button!
