Artists probably think this site is a game, but I hope they realize how much of an impact the critics have on here. I thought about buying T.I.'s cd just cause I love his flow and that snarl he does when he says he's gone "take yo' cookies". But after reading Tim Gaither's review, I went to Best Buy a half n' hour later and copped that cd. Thanks Tim! You were right. This cd is off the chain.
T.I. is talking about something other than money, cash, hoes. He basically runs down some political issues, what it's like growing up black (not just whining about poverty either, this is some real stuff), and talking from a grown man's perspective without all the constant "I'll shoot you" "I got a ho" "Look at my bling-bling" mess that hip-hop has trapped itself into today.
P.S. By the way, besides the rating on Amazon, I also checked out gohastings.com to get a preview (always handy to do that) and I already loved "Be Easy".
