T.I.'s third album is "Urban Legend". A 17 track release with guest appearances from Nelly, B.G., Mannie Fresh, Lil Kim, Pharell Williams, P$C, Big Kuntry, Jazze Pha, Trick Daddy, Lil' Jon, Lil Wayne and Daz Dillinger. The first couple of track have T.I. on solo, repping himself and addressing his haters, first standout of these for me is "You Don't Know Me" which is laced with a bouncy beat. T.I. shines when dropping some heartfelt lyrics on "Praying For Help", which is followed up by another memorable cut "Why U Mad At Me". A number of average guest collabrations follow, then Pharell who seems to be on everyone's album these days drops in for the laidback "Freak Through". The lead single is the upbeat fastpaced Swizz Beat produced "Bring Em'Out" which samples Jay-Z. T.I. and Jazze Pha provide a decent collabration on the mellow "Chillin With My B****". Lil Jon and Lil Wayne drop in for "Stand Up", another track where T.I. talks about his beefs and addresses his haters. The album closes on an impressive note as T.I. and Daz Dillinger hook up for a strong South/West collabration on "My Life". T.I.'s "Urban Legend" is a decent album, with a couple of standout tracks, where I found it lacking was in content, T.I. spends most of this album addressing the same issues and does not take things to another level. In my opinion he has a long way to before he could even come near to claiming to be "Tha King" of the South, that honour goes to groundbreaking artists like Scarface and Outkast.
