this should be in your collection if you consider yourself a "hip-hop" fan. this came out in 2000, but it seems older because its so good. the beats and music aren't revolutionary, but very unique. some fairly heavy topics are covered, but it always stays lighthearted. in my mind respiration is the BEST song on this album. i'm not good at writing long reviews, so i'll just say respiration takes me away. i remember when i was a senior in high school and watching the video on BET and it was just a perfect video to a perfect song. the wonderful music and the flowing 3 verses(mos, kweli, and guest common) are flawless. the other outstanding track is twice inna lifetime. wordsworth and punchline are original, disarming, and hilarious as usual. jane doe does the female rapper thing decently, and the song as a whole is very satisfying. i guess the reason i gave this cd 4 stars is because of how much i like the 2 songs i mentioned and "redfinition". in my mind they overwhelm the rest of this very solid, mind you, album. get soundbombing 1 and 2 first.
