I've been waiting years for a full-length version of the Bee Gees performing "Islands in the Stream," and this recording made it worth the wait. It's a wonderful song, done here with energy, feeling and a great arrangement. I have to say though that energy and feeling are lacking throughout the rest of this album, with the exception of their medley of hits. "I Can't See Nobody" is breathtakingly beautiful, showcasing the brothers' incredible harmonies. I would much rather hear full versions of the songs they do in medley and skip the disco songs altogether. They don't even sound like they enjoy singing them anymore. Their 80's and early 90's albums died on U.S. charts because everybody thought those albums were loaded with disco songs - even though they weren't - and they turned out to be some of the best Bee Gees recordings that no one has ever heard. If "One" and "Wish You Were Here" and "Paradise" were included here instead of "Tragedy" and "Grease", they could actually be selling some of these CDs to people other than die-hard fans. If you want a truly wonderful live Bee Gees recording, buy the DVD version of the "One for All" concerts.
