If something better than CDs are ever invented and we all have to switch over to this new-and-improved, state-of-the-art watchamadoodle, then The Black Crowes' BY YOUR SIDE will be the first watchamadoodle I'll buy. I mean, rock & roll has no right to sound this good--and it certainly isn't fair that so much talent should be confined to one rock & roll group. But it is and here's the proof: a CD containing twelve perfect songs that demand to be played loud and repeatedly. "Go Faster", "Kickin' My Heart Around", "Heavy", "Virtue & Vice"--there's not a dud in the bunch. Not one.
