An Excellent Combo!

It seems like a perfect marriage, combining Jimmy Page with sometime-Led Zeppelin wannabees The Black Crowes, one of my favorite bands of the '90s. It's mostly Zepp covers with some blues songs thrown in there. The selection of Zepp tunes seems to fit well with the Crowes sound and Chris Robinsons voice range. There's several songs from "Physical Graffiti" like "In my Time of Dying", "Custard Pie" and "Sick Again" which are less popular radio staples but sound great here. And Robinson pulls off Robert Plants vocals with little trouble. The band plays with enough energy to keep this collection interesting to listen to. And Jimmy Page's guitar work seems to be in top form again like he was in last years Page-Plant tour. If you're a Black Crowes and/or Zeppelin fan I suggest you check it out. Great Stuff.
