Someone earlier in the reviewing wrote that The Cars seemed "uninterested" in this project and that seem fairly accurate. Most of this album sounds like crap left off Ric's solo works (and if you have ever heard them, you know just how bad they are, although "Beatitude" grows on you after a while). It's just junk on here and Ocasek should have let Hawkes/Easton and Orr write some of their own stuff to compensate for his lack of interest in quality song-writing for this album. How good would this album had been if Ric had let them write one song each here? We'll never know. Instead, we are only left to listen to some pretty rotten stuff, including the title track, which bites hard.
The one good thing about this album is Hawkes' keyboards and Easton's lefty guitar, which were excellent in every album and every live performance. The same can't be said of too many performers - especially in the 1980's/1990's.
