Puzzling. . .

I was brought up on U2, and any other form of Irish music my mom and dad could get their hands on. And I'm still young so I didn't really see U2 through the ages. However, of all their albums this one shines as one of the best. Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum were my previous favourites, but songs like Wild Honey, In A Little While and Kite (my 3 personal favourites), make this different.

There might not be a 'One' or a 'Where The Streets Have No name' on here, but Beautiful Day has become as much of an anthem as any of the previous. There is at least one line on every song of this album which really sticks in your mind. However, one big mistake from Bono, (even the best get it wrong sometimes) was Grace,and that's only my opinion. This song just seems to have a couple of lines and words in there that don't fit, just for rhyming purposes. Not what you'd expect.
I know people who say this album loses any feel of U2, that they let themselves go, and I think they probably did. But they did it well, and kept some semblance of their roots along the way. They have prodcuced something totally new, have given the proper fans a fresh sound whilst making their audience all the more huge. That is,if that was ever possible.
