Well Worth Your Time And Money

The other day, my parents dropped round for a visit. My Dad is a massive U2 fan, and came bearing the album "All That You Can't Leave Behind" saying that I should give it a listen. I'd always wondered why he had such love for their music, and I had high hopes for the album. I didn't expect them to amount to much, but I had high hopes nonetheless. So I gave it a listen, and was totally blown away.

From the opening track, the lead single, "Beautiful Day" I knew I was in for a great listen. The albums really solid and steady, with many songs that you can play over and over again. "Elevation", "Kite", "When I Look At The World" ... they're all great. But the best track on the album has got to be "Stuck In A Momment You Can't Get Out Of" is so peaceful and sleepy. It's amazing, one of the songs you just have to hear to believe. One of the best songs I've heard in the last few months.

"All That You Can't Leave Behind" is stunning. I don't pretend to have all the knowledge about rock music or U2, but I can honestly tell you that this album is this is a great listen. It's relaxed, laid back and perfect to chill to. Even if you're not a fan of U2, I really suggest giving it a listen with an open mind, because you might, like me, be discovering soemthing you've missed for years. 4 stars.
