I can't leave this one behind

it has been called a return to form for U2. i dont agree with that at all. in the early days they couldn't play their instruments nearly as well as they do now. this record combines the raw rock n roll of the 80s U2 with the sophisticated songwriting of the 90s U2. There is not a bad song in this entire set. Beautiful Day was sort of dismissed as the first single but has shown that i can and will stand the test of time. it wasn't really until i got the greatest hits of the 90s that i truely heard Beautiful Day in all its glory. The Edge is unstoppable on Elevation. Walk On is this album's "Where the Streets Have No Name." New York is an amazing song that gets better with every listen. In A Little While is one of my favorites because its so simple. Stuck In a Moment is lyrically great. Kite is just unbelievable. Wild Honey conjures good memories. Peace On Earth, sometimes i have to remind myself that this song was written before 9|11. When I Look At The World, Peace On Earth's rough older brother. Grace is a wonderful ending. i could listen to this a thousand times and it never gets old. it is my favorite album and #3 on my list of best of all time albums. U2 has aged very gracefully and i'm looking forward to 2004 for the next album.
