The anthem is back

It's great when a band like U2 can have their fun, taking their music in interesting if not always pleasant direction, and then come back with a blazing album like this and give the people what they want, yet still in a package that maintains their aristic integrity and elements of their past experimentation. The highlight are sublimely sad and resonant "When I Look at the World," while the lowlight is the aimlessly sleepy final track, "Grace," which begs you to switch CDs before the end.
