Get the double album if you can find it.

This is a really good compilation of U2 songs if you're new to the band. Die-hard U2 fans will want to find the special 2-CD version that contains the harder-to-find songs on the B-sides disc. I'll have to say even with the double-album, my complaint is that I would have maxed out the space on the CDs to put more songs, or even add another CD to the collection. Then again, I have all the U2 albums so the real treat is just getting the double-album for the B-sides. Despite a few flaws, I still rate it 5 stars because this CD is special to me. I bought the Best of U2 1980-1990 the day my close friend died from diabetes. As U2 fans, we used to talk about every U2 song all the time over the phone, especially comparing versions of the same songs, so this CD really cherishes the best memories of my friend. Overall, I recommend this as an intro to new U2 fans, people who aren't familiar with early U2 music. It's one of the few CDs that I can listen to from start to finish!
