Why?

It is with great predictability that U2 release yet another album of post-9/11 sappy sappy sappy VH1 rock. Seriously, another stinkbomb like this and U2 will have the credibility of Train. First off, the album is boring. It took several attempts to get past skipping tracks, and looking at shiny objects in order to focus on something less boring than what's slogging through your headphones. And yes apparently music can slog nowadays. Some tracks are alright. No, actually some BITS are alright. Like the beginning of "All Because You" is neat and then goes chomp chomp chomp and it all gets eaten by TERRIBLE lyrics and a weak melody. There are a few others that I can't remember because so much of the album is so forgettable. What happened to U2? These guys made "POP" for crying out loud, And a few others I hear are good. Get POP. Forget this.
