Maybe its safe...

Hands down the album is great. Is it their best? Probably not. It is a bit safe compared to Achtung Baby! and Pop, which I consider to be their best and their gutsiest albums to date. They were a band that took chances and weren't afraid to take on the world, but this album is far from a sellout or stale. If the band was a sellout then they would have tried to duplicate the Joshua Tree which is probably their greatest selling album, but that is not the case. I find this to be more of a ATYCLB pt 2, but it is far from mediocre.
